We’re delighted to open our doors again, and look forward to welcoming you back to The Haven.

Our number one commitment remains the welfare of our guests and our team. We want you to have an amazing time and we want to help you do this with confidence.

We continue to maintain the highest standards of health and safety, and have implemented a number of new measures to ensure our guests and our team are dining and working in confidence and in a safe environment.

Here’s the latest information with answers to some questions you might have…

What are your opening hours?
We’re now open 7 days a week from 9am-10pm serving drinks. Food service is available from 9am-10.45am for breakfast, Noon to 2.45pm for lunch, and 6pm-8pm for dinner.

How many people can I reserve a table for?
From September the 14th, the new Law stipulates that social gatherings are restricted to a maximum of 6 people. You can book a table for up to 6 people here.

The only exception to this rule is for single households larger than 6. In these cases, please call us for table reservations.

Do you know about NHS Track & Trace?
We’re all responsible for reducing the spread of COVID-19. Government guidelines require us to collect the details of every guest that we welcome to the premises, in order to aid the NHS’s Test and Trace programme. Data will be stored securely for a minimum of 21 days and shared with NHS Test and Trace, if requested.

Will you have a table available if I come by in the evening?
Our restaurant capacity is significantly lower than normal (almost 50% lower in fact) to ensure we offer safe distancing. We will try our best to accommodate walk ins, but we’re experiencing a high demand, so pre-booking is highly recommended

Can I book a window table?
Our floor-to-ceiling windows ensure that all tables have a great view to outside. However, we are unable to guarantee a window table.

Can I book an outside table?
We do not offer bookings on our outside tables. These are offered on a first come, first served basis.

Can I pop in for a drink?
Absolutely, our bar is open from 9am serving our full range of drinks from teas and coffees, to beer and wine. For the time being, we will be offering a table service only, so grab a seat and we’ll come to take your order and we’ll bring your drinks to you – no need to queue at the bar!

Is the terrace open?
As always, seating on the terrace will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, but with safe distancing measures being closely observed numbers on the terrace may need to be limited. If you are coming to enjoy a meal, we would strongly recommend booking a table in the restaurant to guarantee that we can serve you. 

Will the toilets be open?
Yes, and you’ll find new hand sanitiser stations outside and inside the toilets.

Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome on the terrace and in the bar (we have water bowls and treats for your furry friends), but we ask owners to please refrain from taking them in the restaurant. If you wish to book a table and bring a dog, please call us so we can reserve you a dog-friendly table in the bar/snug area.

Are you offering takeaways?
Great question, YES!

Our new ‘HAVEN TO-GO’ service is now available. We’re offering some of our Haven favourites, served up in environmentally-friendly, compostable boxes sealed in a recyclable paper bag for you to collect and enjoy on the go, on board or at home. Have a look at our To-Go Menu.

Will there be live music?
With our seating-capacity limited, we’re pausing our live music sessions for now.

What other steps is The Haven taking?
If you’re a regular visitor at The Haven, you’ll notice a few changes.

We’ve changed the layout of our tables in line with government guidelines to ensure safe spacing, as well as providing new hand-santiser stations at key locations.

Our team will be wearing face masks, and we’ve been practising our best ‘smiley eyes’ so you’ll still receive the same warm welcome, despite our new face coverings.

Other changes are smaller and subtler. For example, we’re removing sauces and salt & pepper from tables (but don’t worry, they’re available on request and cleaned prior to being brought to you) and we’re allowing extra time to increase our cleaning of tables and chairs, surfaces and washrooms.

This Q&A would be very long if we were to list every new measure we’re taking, but rest assured we’re doing everything we can to provide a safe and clean environment for you to enjoy.

How can you help?
There are a few simple steps that you can take to help:

Everyone is required to wear a face mask on arrival and when moving around the restaurant. Please only remove your face mask when you are seated at your table.

Maintain your own personal hand hygiene.

Respect our new procedures and any requests from our team.

If possible, please pay by card rather than cash.

Please remain seated to be served, as it is table service only.

Do not move our tables – they have been placed at a safe distance from neighbouring tables.

Respect safe distancing to other guests and our staff.

We kindly ask you to amend your reservation if you are showing any symptoms of COVID-19. Please re-book with us once self-isolation has taken place.
