Welcoming you back to The Haven

Book with Confidence
Our plans for re-opening…

We look forward to welcoming you back to The Haven from Saturday 4th July. If you make a booking, and anything changes, we will of course contact you directly to discuss a cancellation or hopefully arrange an alternative date for your booking.

Can I book a table?
Absolutely – bookings are open from Saturday 4th July onwards.

Will you have a table available if I come by in the evening?
Our restaurant capacity will be significantly lower than normal (almost 50% lower in fact) to ensure we offer safe distancing. We will try our best to accommodate walk ins, but we’re anticipating a high demand so pre-booking will be essential and things may look a little different when you arrive.

Can I book a window table?
Our floor-to-ceiling windows ensure that all tables have a great view outside. However, we are unable to guarantee a window table.

Can I book an outside table?
We do not offer bookings on our outside tables. These are offered on a first come, first served basis.

Can I pop in for a drink?
Absolutely, our bar will be open from 9am serving our full range of drinks from teas and coffees, to beer and wine. For the time being, we will be offering a table service only so grab a seat and we’ll come to take your order then bring your drinks to you – no need to queue at the bar!

Is the terrace open?
As always, seating on the terrace will be allocated on a first come first served basis, but with safe distancing measures being closely observed numbers on the terrace may need to be limited. If you are coming to enjoy a meal, we would strongly recommend booking a table in the restaurant to guarantee that we can serve you.

Will the toilets be open?
Yes. You will find new hand sanitiser stations outside and inside the toilets.

Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome on the terrace and in the bar (we have water bowls and treats for your furry friends), but we ask owners to please refrain from taking them in the restaurant. If you wish to book a table and bring a dog, please call us so we can reserve you an appropriate table in the bar/snug area.

Are you offering takeaways?
Great question, YES!

Our new ‘HAVEN TO-GO’ service will be available from 1st July. We’re offering some of our Haven favourites, served up in environmentally-friendly, compostable boxes sealed in a recyclable paper bag for you to collect and enjoy on the go, onboard or at home. Have a look at our To-Go Menu.

Will there be live music?
With our capacity limited, we’re pausing our live music sessions for now.

What other steps is The Haven taking?
If you’re a regular visitor at The Haven, you’ll notice a number of changes when you visit. We’ve changed the layout of our tables to ensure safe spacing as well as new hand santiser stations.

Other changes are smaller and more subtle. For example we’ll be removing sauces, salt and pepper from tables (but don’t worry, they’re still available on request) and our cleaning of tables, surfaces and washrooms will be increased.

This Q&A would be very long if we were to list every single new measure we’re taking, but rest assured we’re doing everything we can to provide a safe and clean environment for you to enjoy.

How can you help?
There’s plenty of simply steps that you can take to help:

Maintain your own personal hand hygiene.
Respect our new procedures and any requests from our team.
If possible, pay by card rather than cash.
Respect safe distancing to other guests and our staff.
Keep smiling – after all, we’ve missed you!

A word about NHS Track & Trace
We’re all responsible for reducing the spread of COVID-19. Government guidelines require us to collect the details of every guest that we welcome to the premises, in order to aid the NHS’s Test and Trace programme. If someone who has visited The Haven Bar & Restaurant notifies the NHS that they have symptoms of COVID-19, anyone who was present at The Haven at the same time will be informed.
